Cintilli's Adoption Story
Cintilli was born on June 18, 2020 during the chaos and uncertainty of the pandemic and was taken to the local Humane Society, where he was placed up for adoption under the name of "Sylvester." He remained their in their loving care until October 4th, when he found his forever home...
After a very trying, depressing year, his soon-to-be new "Mammy" visited the local shelter in hopes to simply share some love with the lonely, abandoned creatures who also knew far too well of the isolation that the rest of the world had been experiencing. While standing in the socially distanced line, she stood behind a mask that hid her broken spirit. For, earlier that year, she had lost her grandmother, her beloved cat Oliver, and her best friend. Little did she know, however, that her little hero was awaiting her arrival, as she would be the one being rescued.

"I'd like to see Sylvester," she said softly, as she walked by the cages.
"Oh, the little cat with the spot?" was the reply from the volunteer. "He's in isolation." It was then explained that he was being quarantined due to a very serious upper respiratory infection. To others, this might have been seen as a "flaw," but to her, this was all the more reason that he was the one to be selected.
"Is he still available?" she asked nervously.
"Why, yes! I think so," the volunteer said as her eyes smiled, relieved that his medical condition hadn't prevented interest in him. "Go wait by the desk and I'll bring him out."
And, within no time, the cute little bundle of fur and personality was retrieved and handed off. He instantly wrapped tightly around the arm that had reached to him and from that moment, he refused to let go.
"Well, it's been settled!" The volunteers exclaimed. "He's chosen you!" And, just like that, he became part of a family who needed him as much as he needed them.
His name was quickly changed to Cintilli, as that had been the name of a black and white cat in a dream his rescuer had many years before.
